Letter to AUNT SUZANNE
Good morning!
My mom just told me you are making a surprise for the newlyweds and I wanted to say "thank you" in advance. I also wanted to tell you a little bit more about Suzy. I hadn't planned on naming her middle name Suzanne, but after she was born, it was like God just whispered that was her name. Can I tell you now, at twenty-one years old, we were just talking about how much we love her incredible laugh, kindness, and gentle nature!!! In a moment of clarity, I was suddenly aware that God knew twenty-one years ago that that little babe would grow up to be like her wonderful great aunt. I really like it when God is in the details!!!
A few months ago I had a dream about grandma Thelma. She was showing me something in her basement. In the old fruit room she opened some drawers individually. I was expecting food, but no! Each drawer was full of momentos of each of her kids and grandkids and great grandkids!!! There was a Gene drawer, a Suzanne drawer, a Chad drawer and so on and so forth. All through the room she showed me and I felt her delight and pure joy as she showed me these things. I woke up with such a great feeling and felt like she was with me all day. I like to think she still watches over me.
Suzy has a high functioning form of autism. This has made it hard for her to learn. Last year we went to see an unusual woman from a non-demoninational setting in her home. This wonderful woman has seen angels since she was a small child. We went because Syd and Suzy at different times have had problems quieting their minds. It was an incredible few hours. She told Lauren she was very wise, but very quiet and she had several ancestors that were in the medical field that were ready to help her. She told Lauren it was very important she continue her education, that her ancestors in heaven would help her hands and her mind that they had been assigned to this purpose. They told Syd her mind needed rest and she said her purpose was just to love in this life.
After that, Lauren enrolled in a CNA program. She graduated valedictorian! When she was at the candle lighting ceremony I could feel Grandma Thelma's presence. It was a special time.
She is going to be working with vocational rehab in Idaho. They help her get appropriate accomadations at work and may even help pay for her continuing education. It gives me great COMFORT thinking your mom, Grandma Thelma, is helping her from heaven...
I just thought I would share this with you, because it has been such a NEAT thing for us...
We love you!!!
